Stephanie Hockman
Stephanie Hockman founded Alvista Loop to address a need in the financial services industry to attract, grow, and retain top diverse talent. Through her over 30 years working in or for the finance industry, she has gained experience that will help early career professionals, mid and senior level executives, women, and traditionally underrepresented individuals excel in their financial services career. She has a proven ability to coach individuals and collaborate with employers to enhance performance, improve productivity and drive long-term success.
Stephanie Hockman is a certified executive coach with over 23 years of experience in the finance industry and almost a decade of experience coaching and placing diverse, early career talent in the finance industry. Stephanie has experience coaching individuals and building teams and business lines in investment banks, higher education, private investing firms, alternative investment vehicles, and startups.
Stephanie was the inaugural Program Director for the Careers in Business and Finance at Amherst College where she coaches, advises, and prepares students for careers in finance. In addition, she has collaborated with employers to develop recruiting processes that attract diverse talent. Through her efforts, over one-third of the student population secures jobs in finance, consulting or general business and employment opportunities increased 28% in the initial year.
Prior to Amherst College, Ms. Hockman spent 23 years in the financial services industry. She worked at BNP Paribas as a Managing director in Global Equities and Commodity Derivatives (“GECD”) leading teams in New York, London, and Hong Kong. She was an inaugural member of the Women’s Leadership Initiative, was a member of the GECD Executive Committee, founded the Women in Global Markets group, and led the GECD Summer Internship Program. Prior to BNP Paribas, Ms. Hockman was a Principal at Banc of America Securities where she led the U.S. Prime Services client relationship management team. Through her tenure at Banc of America Securities, she increased client profitability and optimized resources to best align services and profitability and built a strong team culture of client service that received #1 ratings in industry surveys. She was also instrumental in transitioning almost 700 clients and over 300 employees from Bank of America to BNP Paribas at the height of the financial crisis. Ms. Hockman started her career at Arthur Andersen providing tax consulting to hedge funds and investment partnerships and developed a growth strategy for the hedge fund advisory group. She was also the lead recruiter for the internship and full-time programs within the hedge fund practice. Throughout her over two decades in the financial services industry, she developed people, teams, and business lines. She was also a leading figure for women in the organizations.
Stephanie received her Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and Master in Professional Accounting (MPA) at The University of Texas at Austin. She has her Hogan Assessments and MBTI certifications and is in the process of completing her coaching certification from the Center of Executive Coaching and is progressing toward the ACC designation with the ICF.
Stephanie enjoys spending time with her husband, Chris, and her two children, Matthew & Madeline.

Corporations optimize through utilizing data to create OKRs while being agile to respond to changes, setting clear vision and effectively communicating it, and fostering an innovative and engaged culture where everyone feels they and their ideas are valued.
